This innovation addresses environmental and economic challenges by converting jute waste into high performance biodegradable bags Traditional jute bags though ecofriendly suffer from poor durability moisture retention and lack of oxygen barriers limiting their usability especially in food packaging. The proposed solution involves extracting nanocellulose from jute waste and using it to enhance the mechanical strength water resistance and shelf life of jute fabric. Natural dyes from vegetable waste were used for aesthetic look. The result is a 100 biodegradable nontoxic and functional jute bag ideal for packaging applications. The project not only prevents CO emissions from burning jute waste but also promotes circular economy practices and rural employment. This scalable sustainable innovation supports the global push to replace single use plastics and aligns with the UNs Sustainable Development Goals with strong potential in both domestic and international markets
