QDF - Quick Document Finder - overview and examples.

QDF - fast and simple tool that helps find documents in large repositories of files.

QDF quickly finds and displays all results matching search criteria - a file or a folder name. It lets local users open file(s) directly from its user interface, without necessity of going through opening any folders or scrolling manually for files.
The documents are opened with system default application used to open that file types and are opened the same way as if user clicked on the file manually.

Its up to end user to decide what documents should be indexed and included in search results … PDF, Word, Excel, txt, diagrams, logs, images, source code, dll, exe … anything …

Written in 100% Java language, requires version 8 or up.

QDF comes in two flavors:
Stand-alone or Client-server
