In this guitar comparison video I shootout the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard vs LTD EC-1000T. Even though the first 4 riffs are Metal based, I demonstrate clean, edge of breakup and solo tones through the video.

These 2 amazing Gibson Les Paul alternatives feel very different to play, the ESP LTD EC 1000 is obviously much more modern in terms of playability due to its slimmer neck profile. The Epiphone 59 Les Paul has a rather chunky 50s neck profile (not a bad a thing imo), it also has a satin finish which I quite like.

In terms of pickups I knew how good the Gibson USA Burstbuckers sounded on the Epiphone Les Paul 1959, but I was really surprised by how well balanced the Seymour Duncan Pegasus and Sentient sounded, judging by their names I thought they'd only be suited for modern metal styles, but I was wrong, they can do it all (I'll try to demonstrate the coil split tones in another video, they're great).
