UK death metal powerhouse INGESTED is gearing up to release their highly anticipated full-length studio album, "The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams," via Metal Blade Records on April 5th.
Since the launch of their fifth album, "Where Only God May Tread," in 2020, INGESTED has maintained an impressive pace of creativity, churning out almost a full record each year. Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the band's relentless dedication to practicing, performing, and writing has fueled their musical growth.
"The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams" not only retains the innovative and brutal essence of their previous release, "Ashes Lie Still," but also showcases INGESTED's willingness to explore new creative horizons while retaining their signature ferocity. Produced by the band with the guidance of recording engineer Nico Beninato, the album features guest appearances by Mark Hunter of Chimaira and Josh Middleton of Sylosis, adding depth to their sonic landscape.
With a blend of double-bass rolls, blast-beats, grinding rhythms, jagged riffs, and piercing harmonics, INGESTED injects their experience, skill, and artistry into the ten trenchant new songs on the album. While maintaining their trademark brutality, "The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams" introduces a more upbeat approach to their songwriting, reflecting a shift in mood from their previous work.
Ahead of the album release, the band unveils the first single, "Paragon Of Purity," accompanied by a visually captivating music video. Guitarist Sean Hynes, the lyricist behind the track, elaborates on its theme of love, hard work, and family support, emphasizing the challenges of being on the road while acknowledging the invaluable backing from loved ones.
