The empty fuel tank wagons have previously arrived into Kwinana yard. On the overnight Kalgoorlie Freighter from West Kagoorlie.

Q 4013 is now heading to Forrestfield Yard, with 16 empty tank wagons in the consist
They will be reloaded with fuel at the BP Fuel sidings in Abernethy Road, Kewdale.

The BP fuel storage tanks on the opposite side of the fuel loading rail sidings on Abernethy Road at Kewdale are now operated by ATOM, Australian Terminal Operations Management.

Although BP closed down production of fuel at it's Kwinana Oil Refinery after 65 years of production in 2021.

The Kewdale fuel rail loading sidings, are still known as BP fuel
siding.

Sadly 400 staff and 250 contractors lost their jobs, after BP closed production at it's Kwinana Facility. With only 60 employees being retained to operate the fuel distribution from ship into the on-shore fuel storage tanks.

All fuel oils is now imported in by ships to Kwinana Port. Three berths are available for this service.
