David and Rachel spent 3 months living in Northern California for David’s travel assignment in Eureka, California.

While there, we were able to explore a lot of beautiful areas. We were within 1 hour’s drive of Redwood National and State Parks, so we naturally spent a lot of time there.

One of our favorite Redwood hikes was Boy Scout Tree Trail. The entire hike is 5.3 miles long, and it is rated as moderate difficulty by AllTrails. We definitely recommend this hike. It is long but super peaceful and beautiful! You will be rewarded at the end by seeing one of the largest trees in the world: Boyscout Tree. You’ll also get to see Fern Falls which is just past it.
