Anthony Newley - "Ain't It Funny"

Описание к видео Anthony Newley - "Ain't It Funny"

"Ain' It Funny"....Funny me alone before - It isn't funny anymore.
A song about loneliness, abandonement, solitude, disguised as slightly country-style-song. Like a typical Newley-Song, very autobiographical. A "miniature" - a whole story, a whole life in one song and you believe every word. "Why spread around that virus of doom". Newley's (partly very self-destructive) self expression is very appealing - for me.
Excerpts from Film "The Small World of Sammy Lee" (GB 1963, directed by Ken Hughes) frame this beautiful song from the album "Ain't It Funny" (1972).
