This beautiful video features WDC's adoption orcas, Fife with his extended family and Bend with her baby. They belong to the Northern Resident population of orcas that live off Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

The film was taken by WDC friend and wildlife film-maker Megan Hockin-Bennett at Cracroft Point in August 2015. WDC supports the ongoing research carried out by Orcalab in the area, the longest-running study of orcas in the world.

This remote outpost is OrcaLab’s land-based video station perfectly located at the point where Blackney Pass feeds into Johnstone Strait, a stretch of water off the island where the orcas are often seen during the summer months.
