Based on Faxanadu (1987), developed by Hudson Soft and published by Nintendo, the game reimagined a decaying fantasy world beneath a dying tree - blending myth, melancholy, and cryptic storytelling into one of the NES era’s most haunting atmospheres. Its sparse, echoing soundtrack and stark visuals became the foundation for this track’s tone: half temple hymn, half fever dream.
