I hunted into the second week and finally connected on a black bear with my bow. Not your bruiser of a black bear but average size bear none the less. This black bear hunt happens to have been my first ever spring bear hunt in Canada. I harvest my first spring black bear with my bow and couldn't be any happier. I prefer to shoot all my black bear with my bow. I love my bowhunting. It does make the hunt a wee bit more challenging.

Black bear hunting can be extremely tough without the help of some form of bait or attractant. I will try my luck at spot and stalk bear hunting this fall. I will also incorporate some tracking. This video is showing what I did at and on my stand while bowhunting black bear. I was on stand overlooking a black bear bait site. The guides bear baiting tactics worked perfectly. I incorporated a little humorous clip for your viewing pleasure. I pretty much make a fool of myself while on the bear stand. Hopefully you lough, lol.
