chennai : mdmk chief vaiko recalled his visit to ltte-controlled parts of northern sri lanka to meet ltte supremo prabhakaran. In his speech on Maaveerar day , viko also shared some of the less known facts about ltte chief prabhakaran, vaiko said how prabhakaran living in the jungles of jaffna and vanni how he created a loyal army and navy forces.
Vaiko celebrates Maaveerar day at his party headquarters thayagam at chennai. Maaveerar Day is observed on on every November 27 by Tamil people to remember the deaths of militants fighting for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The tradition is to light oil lamps for the three days ending on the 27th and to raise the national flag of Tamil Eelam at the ceremonies.
