Uttarakhand’s famous ‘Pahadi Chaunsa Dal’ 😍✨

This one recipe is what you need in this monsoon season. It’s warm, comforting and so so delicious. And special thanks to @aviasindia for sending such a fine quality Spice Box and Ruby Casserole. It truly made my kitchen experience so much easier. ♥️

Ingredients :
• Urad Dal 1 cup
• Mustard oil 1-2 tablespoons
• Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
• Asafoetida a pinch of
• Dried red chillies 1-2
• Ginger garlic green chilli paste 1 tablespoon
• Onion 1 chopped
• Tomato 1 chopped (optional)
• Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
• Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
• Roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon
• Red chilli powder as per taste
• Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
• Salt as per taste

For tampering :
In a tablespoon of ghee, add sliced garlic and onions and fry them until they turn golden brown. Lastly add some Kashmiri red chilli powder, along with little salt.
