Hey everyone! For the first full episode of my Arcade Stick review series, we are going to look into a completely different territory and go back in time to 2009, where we go out of the high heels of the hype for Street Fighter IV and go for something more obscure when compared to the offerings provided by MadCatz, Hori, and Eightarc/Qanba at the time. That of course, being the K.O./Knockout Fighting Stick by Hyperkin, which looks like it might be a clone of an existing arcade stick by Hori known as the Fighting Stick 3.

This stick offers good compatibility for PS1 and PS2, but falls completely flat when it comes to compatibility for PS3 and PC, but despite this, it has its share of pros and cons, ranging from the universal compatibility and other additional buttons that the MadCatz offerings do not have, to downsides such as input delay on certain buttons when used on a PS3, wonky PC compatibility, and how much of a nightmare it is to mod it since you are VERY limited to what you can work with due to the small space of the stick itself.

This stick can no longer be purchased on Amazon or any other retailer, but if you are lucky, you might find this on eBay, Mercari, or other second-hand online marketplaces. This stick is worth it when used on a PS1 or PS2, but not so much if you're using it on a PS3 or PC (which at this point, you're better off saving your money and getting a Qanba Drone instead, which was released seven years later in 2016 when Street Fighter V was still in its infancy).
