"When is the best time to get my newborn baby photographed" is one of the most popular questions that Elle - one of Melbourne's best newborn photographers gets asked all the time!

Babies are best photographed within the first two weeks of life. During this time they are more likely to be nice and sleepy and less likely to be disturbed whilst being curled into gorgeous positions to be photographed. This also mostly avoids any newborn acne that tends to develop after three weeks.

If you baby is older than 3 weeks please don't hesitate to contact Elle at Always Belle Photography in Melbourne to discuss your options. You can still get beautiful photos after the three week mark however it may be a little harder to get all the poses!`

Hey, guys, Elle here from Always Belle Photography. Today I wanted to jump on and do this quick little video for you to talk about one of my most commonly asked questions. And that is, when is the best time to do a newborn photography shoot? Well, generally I say to people, the best time to do a newborn photography shoot is between five and 15 days old. After that it can get a little bit more tricky, but we can get them up to three weeks old. During that five to 15 day mark they haven't quite figured out they're in the real world yet, so they are very sleepy and generally quite easy to pose, like this baby here. So I recommend that everybody books in when they are pregnant, and then when your baby is born you can let me know, and we will try and get you in between that five and 15 day mark. It's during this time that we can give them a feed, we can turn the heat up, and we can generally get beautiful little newborn photos to capture this time. If your baby has already been born, please don't worry, we can still get beautiful photos of your baby, and the newborn stage can last up until six weeks. But if you want the beautiful, squishy photos that you see on my website, and to capture this beautiful time before they get any older, let's aim for five to 15 days old, and contact me whilst you're pregnant, as soon as possible, to book your newborn shoot in.
