PM::INAUGURATION
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of major infrastructure and industrial development projects worth over 6,300 crore rupees in Assam. In his address, the Prime Minister said the country is moving ahead unitedly to build a developed India and North East has a very big role in the achievement of this resolution. Mr Modi also urged people to be brand ambassadors of Vocal for Local and to take pride in Swadeshi products.
The inaugurated development projects include Darrang Medical College & Hospital and GNM School and B.Sc. Nursing College. The foundation stones were also laid for Guwahati Ring Road Project and Kuruwa-Narengi Bridge over River Brahmaputra.

PM::HAZARIKA
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to renowned Assamese Singer-Composer-Director Bharat Ratna late Bhupen Hazarika at a centenary celebration in Guwahati, Assam yesterday. The PM called Hazarika, a symbol of unity and national integration. PM Modi said Hazarika’s music united people across India and gave hope even in the hardest of times. He also unveiled a 100 Rupee commemorative coin and released a biography of Hazarika in 21 languages.

CONCLAVE
The Ministry of Minority Affairs yesterday organised National Level Conclave of Ministers of States/UTs for Minority Welfare at Vanijya Bhawan in New Delhi. The conclave was presided over by Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju and attended by Ministers of 8 States including Arunachal Pradesh Law Minister Kento Jini. During the meeting, the Ministry presented its five-year roadmap for various schemes for the upliftment of minorities. Rijiju stated that with a new vision, there will be changes in policies and also take forward earlier initiatives with greater speed especially for the benefit of minority youth, women and all communities. Meanwhile, the Ministers and Secretaries from the States/UTs shared their insights and suggestions to strengthen the implementation of schemes for the welfare of minority communities across India.

HM SHAH
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah will inaugurate 2nd National Conference of Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Heads of States and Union Territories (UTs) in New Delhi on 16th of this month. Shah will also release Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Annual Report- 2024 and launch online Drug Disposal Campaign. The conference will be organised by Narcotics Control Bureau under the theme “United Resolve, Shared Responsibility”.

WEATHER
The Meteorological Centre Itanagar (MC) has forecast 20 districts in Arunachal Pradesh are in yellow alert zone. These districts will receive thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places.

HEALTH MIN::TRIHMS
Health and Family Welfare Minister Biyuram Wahge yesterday pledged to address the shortcomings at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), assuring that corrective steps would be taken without delay. The assurance came after the medical fraternity decided to withdraw its proposed 48-hour strike, following discussions with the government on their safety and welfare concerns. Wahge expressed gratitude to the doctors for resuming services and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing a secure and enabling environment for healthcare workers.

AGRI MIN
State Agriculture Minister Gabriel D Wangsu yesterday inspected the ongoing construction of State Agricultural Information Hub cum Farmer's Hotel in Naharlagun. In a social media post, he said, excited to witness progress of this significant facility that will provide valuable agri information, training and comfortable accommodation for visiting farmers.

CLEANLINESS DRIVE
A cleanliness drive was held at Nirjuli as part of the nationwide ‘Swachhata Pakhwada 2025’ initiative. About 300 Students of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) along with faculties, Corporator of 19th IMC ward, and Nirjuli Market Welfare Committee took part in the drive focused on a specific stretch of road from Bage Tinali to Karsingsa Bridge.

VIMARSH
'Vimarsh' a dialogue on the topic ‘Universal Brotherhood: Essence of Bhartiya Sanskriti’ was held yesterday at the Conference Hall of Arunadaya University in Lekhi, Naharlagun. On the occasion, Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board Maling Gombu spoke on the essence of religious roots in the Indian context. He also interacted with the participants. The program was jointly organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Itanagar Chapter and Arunadaya University. Meanwhile, the prizes were awarded to winners of 'Arise Awake Competition'.
