Ontario Visited had a blast at the Small Halls Festival in Clearview Township at to experience the Shipyard Kitchen Party Newfoundland Songbook Live Performance that transport us to Newfoundland!

Lory MacDonald, Ontario Visited Senior Contributor, shares with you an amazing experience in Creemore, Clearview Township, during the Small Halls Festival.

“On Friday night I went to the Small Halls Festival in Creemore to see The Shipyard Kitchen Party’s Newfoundland Songbook at the Station on the Green. What an absolute treat! This show had everything — music, storytelling, history, humour, and heart. It moved quickly, never a dull moment, and I found myself laughing, learning, and completely swept away.
The musicians are all local and incredibly talented — guitars, fiddle, percussion, harmonica, vocals — the whole room came alive with their energy. It wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience: entertaining, educational, and so much fun.

I loved the historical images projected on the backdrop screen too- it really added to the story. Honestly, this show could travel across the country and light up audiences everywhere. I loved every minute of it.
