It can integrate with Rheem’s EcoNet app that's available for iOS and Android. This unit it has a 10-year warranty. It also has an integrated leak detection with an automatic shutoff valve. There is a red rope at the bottom of the water heater that is a 360 leak detection device which will detect any leak. Very small leaks either inside the tank or outside are detected. As soon as a leak is detected, an alert is sent sends to the app with an audible alarm. The water inlet is also immediately shut off, creating a vacuum that limits any water leak to about 20 ounces or less. Anyone who has ever had a leak from a water heater or in any plumbing knows that these water leaks cause one of the most expensive home damage insurance claims, not to mention the heartache and inconvenience it causes for the homeowner. The integrated lead detection feature will alert the homeowner to any issue before it becomes a major issue and allows them to contact their plumber. This takes a lot of stress out of the replacement in the unfortunate event that there is a water leak.
