1. The black wire attaches to the battery negative terminal.
2. The yellow wire attaches to the positive terminal; you'll need to connect your own o-ring to attach.
3. The red wire (with the fuse) worked for me by attaching it to the starter/ignition fuse located in the fuse box under the seat. Remove the 10amp fuse and feed the bare wire into the connector and put the fuse back in, pinching the wire in the place where the fuse plugs into. This allows for the camera to turn off and on with your bike... if you don't do this the camera will drain your battery and will overheat.

I did not have to splice any wires, cut any wires, or remove anything for the camera to fit... though I did adjust the USB wire that connected to the positive battery terminal to get more room. I simply unscrewed the terminal screw and rotated the USB terminal connector so it was out of the way for the camera unit to sit snug between the ECU (big black plastic box) and the USB port. The seat fits snug and there's scraping or issues with hurting the camera unit while under the seat.
