Every July the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville Pennsylvania pays tribute to the classic 1958 sci-fi masterpiece, The Blob, filmed at the theatre and throughout the surrounding towns. Fans come from miles around to participate in the first night’s events, and to recreate the classic scene where The Blob attacks the theatre sending patrons running out the front doors screaming for their lives. The night always proves to be a blast, with contests, live music, the crowing of Mx Blobfest, and of course the runout itself. You never know what creatures will show up, but you can always count on The Blob to send you up the isles and out onto the street.
