The first game did really well back in 1999, but I didn't like it very much, despite being unintentionally hilarious at times. It was ambitious enough to warrant a sequel anyway by 2001, though could it possibly be better than the original?

Shenmue 2 is the sequel to Shenmue for the Dreamcast, and in this Shenmue 2 review, I'll explain why this is better than Shenmue 1, Shenmue 2 still needs more to a lot of things to make Shenmue 2 engaging enough for me. Shenmue 2 is also available on the Xbox, with Shenmue 2 HD available for PCs, PS4s and Xbox Ones.
