View Of B&O Railroad Station Model Railroad At Ellicott City

While we visited the B&O Railroad Station At Ellicott City we found they had a Model Railroad of the route between Baltimore and Ellicott City. This layout was housed inside the freight house on the property.

This facility is operated by the Howard County Recreation & Parks Dept. The building was designated a registered national historical landmark in 1968 by the U.S. Department of the Interior National Parks Service.

The model railroad is maintained by Meade Area Railroad Society:

I asked the attendant on duty who built the layout and he stated he did not know who the original modeler(s) were.
