Kakolanmäki is a hill situated in the centre area of Turku. It is known for the historical prison of which oldest buildings date back to 1850s. The prison ended in Kakolanmäki in 2007. Nowadays the area has hotel, restaurants, café and other services. Also new residential buildings are built in the area.
