Sailing Adventures in Oriental, NC S01E08

After our misfortune in Beaufort, NC, where we ran aground, we headed north towards Oriental. Navigating the ICW at night is generally not advisable, so we found what we thought would be a peaceful anchorage for a few hours. Unfortunately, we had a close call with a barge, which was quite frightening and meant we didn't need our morning coffee.

We continued our journey to Oriental at sunrise and spent several days in the Sailing Capital of North Carolina. It's a great place to stock up on groceries and sailing supplies - a true paradise for boaters.
