Oxford in Voice: The Composer

Oxford isn't just a centre for performance of vocal music: it's also a hub for composition as well. Watch young students follow in the footsteps of renowned Oxford alumni John Taverner, Hubert Parry, and William Walton, balancing tradition and modernity, inspiration and sheer hard work, in producing beautiful music for the human voice.

Shot on location at Christ Church, Oxford, the Royal Albert Hall and Maida Vale studios; and featuring contributions from Award winning composers Emily Howard and Howard Goodall. Filmed with kind co-operation of the BBC Proms, the BBC Singers, Maida Vale Studios and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
