Off the back of his recent Anjunadeep EP ‘Hor’s Echo’, Berlin-based DJ and producer Powel now returns with his four-track ‘Chapek 9 EP’. With his 2020 album ‘The Beauty of a Polaroid’ releasing on All Day I Dream, and a plethora of releases across labels including Stil vor Talent and Do Not Sit On The Furniture, Powel’s dreamy productions have seen him supported by producers including Lee Burridge, Joris Voorn and Nick Warren

Powel’s new ‘Chapek 9 EP’ showcases his signature textured sound design, as well as a less-frequently heard flair for bouncing basslines. Title track ‘Chapek 9’ opens the EP whilst ‘Dorfsdisco’ leads with syncopated chords and disco-inspired beats. Rounding off the EP is ‘Wege Zur Unmöglichkeit’, first featured on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 12; and closing track ‘In Dreams Emotions Are Overwhelming’.
