The Kickstarter for my family yoga partner pose cards is live from June 10th 2021 to July 10th 2021!
Children naturally know how to play and are such good teachers to us big people. The goal of these cards is to support grownups as they connect with their children and reconnect with their own inner child. These partner poses provide opportunities to play, express love, and enjoy quality time together as a family.
Exclusive Peek at the Cards:
Each card is carefully crafted with fun, beauty, and nature in mind. I wanted to create something centered around nature that was practical to use and beautiful to look at.
44 unique hand-illustrated yoga partner poses for kids and their grownups
Each of the 44 cards in the deck is a unique, hand-drawn work of art. In order to represent the full spectrum of what it means to be a family, I’ve chosen to draw individuals from a variety of ages, sizes, races, genders, and abilities.
On the front of each card is an illustrated partner pose with a beautiful nature-inspired background.
On the back of each card is the name of the pose, an affirmation, a nature-based mindfulness activity, instructions for how to do the pose, and variations that make them fun!
These cards are printed on a sturdy and durable material in a comfortable 5x5-inch size. I chose this size because it’s easier for little hands to hold, the images show up better, and they are a bit less likely to get lost.
A Bag instead of a Box!
I chose to use a bag for the cards instead of a box because I know with frequent use boxes can break and become unusable. Bags are easier to transport and will protect the cards in a stylish and visually appealing way.
The drawstring storage bags are 100% organic cotton and are handmade by a small business in Jackson, New Jersey.
Build Connection:
In a world where we spend more and more time with our eyes on screens, both children and their grownups need more eye contact with each other. When we make time for this type of connection, the rewards are priceless.
Partner poses provide the benefits of positive physical connection and create opportunities to teach bodily autonomy and practice consent. Engaging in partner poses involves touching, so it’s important to make sure both people are ready and excited to participate before beginning.
How to Use the Cards:
You can practice yoga together as a family, inside or outside, in a mindful, playful, and connecting way.
These cards are a beautiful addition to a mindfulness or discovery corner where children can calm down and recenter. They can also be a useful tool when added to your normal routines, offering moments of connection first thing in the morning or before bed.
Try hiding a card and do the pose together when the card is found. Grab a partner and move your body to take a break from sitting. Tell a story with the cards, using the poses to make it come to life. These are a perfect brain break after school, during homework, or whenever you need a mindful moment.
Try slipping the cards into your backpack before a hike or when going on a trip together. They are great to practice in nature—maybe you will see something outside that matches one of the cards!
An important thing to remember about using these cards is that it’s not about perfection or doing the pose just right. It’s about the process of connection, play, and nature immersion. Let the highlight be trying the pose together, wobbles and all, rather than nailing the pose.

I have already created all 44 of the images and instructions, so I just need your help with printing! When you back this Kickstarter and fund the printing process, the decks will be available at an affordable cost—helping get the decks to as many families as possible.
Unless we meet our goal for the number of backers, this project will not be able to move forward. When you commit to the project, you help it become a reality!
Reward Opportunities:
Once our project is funded, decks will only be sold one at a time. During the Kickstarter, you have the opportunity to purchase more than one deck for a bundled discount! Both Early Bird and Kickstarter prices are discounted from the $33 retail price, however, only 50 of each Early Bird tier are available!

MARCH 2019 - MAY 2021 - Cards illustrated and created
JUNE 2021 - Cards are completed and Kickstarter started!
End of JULY 2021 - Kickstarter complete and fully funded
End of AUGUST 2021 - cards printed and bags silk-screened and created
End of SEPTEMBER 2021 - cards shipped to families around the world!
