Easton Cycling: The Thousand Kilometer Stare - Rob Britton

June 14th, 2022 Former pro cyclist and Easton Overland athlete Rob Britton set off on an individual time trial on the 1,000-kilometre BC Epic 1000 route from Merritt to Fernie, British Columbia.

Rob's eyes were set on a new fastest known time, and he successfully completed the challenging route faster than anyone before him, including Tom Hainisch’s blazing-fast 2019 record.⁠

“I think I messaged a friend, ‘I’m gonna break the BC Epic record one of these days,'” Britton said. “I think I said something stupid like, ‘I think I can break two days.’ Last year when I decided no more road racing, that was a big target in my head.”⁠ -Rob Britton.
