Path of Least Resistance - Ep 21.5 (Week of 9-2-24 - 5.5) - Kindred vs Viego (No Commentary)

This is the 5.5 star weekly nightmare for the Legends of Runeterra mode: the Path of Champions week of 9-2-24. We are using Kindred at 3 star vs Viego. Relics are Everfrost, Everfrost, and Guardian Angel.

I'm not sure you can get away from double Everfrost here, because we often need to stun a whole board. We do that by playing Spirit Journey on Kindred. For our support champion, we take anything with vampiric scepter or another form of lifesteal. We can Spirit Journey a unit with vampiric scepter repeatedly to heal. This takes a long time.

In this episode, we slowly, ever so slowly wittle away at our opponents. I was testing whether or not Kindred could be used against this adventure considering how wide the board gets, and it did work, but the fights are so long and repetitive that I didn't want to comment over them. Each fight is around 10 minutes long because our opponents summon so many units. Timestamps will of course be included so you can skip ahead to anything interesting.

We start with Biggledust Stash, and since most of our units are created that gives us +2/+2, but it doesn't really matter. Something like Explosive Finale, Spell Burn, or Explosive Entrance would make the run so much faster. Maybe even something like Haunting Hall because we cycle through a lot of units.

We also get Unlimited Power which makes our first spell free, but it doesn't really matter because by the time we play Kindred we can always hold enough mana to use Spirit Journey, which is the defense and win condition. We make liberal use of Crumble to remove the board 2 units at a time but it still takes forever to win.

The big thing to remember is if you Spirit Journey Kindred with Guardian Angel still active, you'll get 4 stuns vs two if you Spirit Journey one without Guardian Angel active. I'm sure there's a better way to do this, because honestly, it was pretty awful. ❤
