Pi County Pingle Temple is located in Heng Mountain, adjacent to Tangchang Town, next to the grave and hermitage site of Yan Junping. Yan Junping was a Chinese philosophy master more than 2020 years ago, and he chose to live in seclusion here - Heng Mountain - in the later years of his life. Heng Mountain is also a wonder of the area, as it is the only highland on the Chengdu Plain that juts up naturally.

Like a huge observation deck on the Chengdu Plain, Heng Mountain offers a panoramic view of the richness and peace of the plain. The Xuyan River and the Baimu River are two small, not too wide, but abundant rivers, with crystal clear water flowing one after the other around the Heng Mountain. From the high point of Heng Mountain, where Mr. Yan Junping was later buried, the rivers are far away and the plain is pale. Underneath the terrace, the rape blossoms were melancholy and nobly golden, and the villages were like islands floating in the flower sea. The peculiar thing is that the soil on the plain, which is only a ditch away from the Heng Mountain, is oily black, while the Heng Mountain is a yellow soil.

Because of the Covid-19 situation, both Pingle Temple and Yan Junping Memorial Hall are temporarily closed to visitors.
