This video describes the current utility of serum biomarkers of Liver Cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma, HCC). All the three conventional biomarkers of HCC: Alpha‐fetoprotein (AFP), Des-gamma Carboxy Prothrombin (DCP) and AFP-L3 have definite role in HCC diagnosis and prognosis. Individually each of these biomarkers may not perform optimally, but when combined with each other (e.g. AFP+DCP+AFP-L3), or when combined with other modalities (e.g. AFP+USG), they have increased utility.
