Welcome to Wildwire Wanaka, the only Via Ferrata climb in New Zealand. This guided course is about 500m in elevation and takes you pretty much straight up 3 waterfalls. There are 6 bridges along the route and a variety of different sections.

The course is nicely designed with an easy start and then a slightly more difficult middle section, I would rate it around a K3 level. The guided nature of the course means that if you are used to a more independent style, you will need to be patient as the excellent guides take you up the route. It is fairly expensive, especially if you are used to the free courses in Europe, but seeing as it is the only VF in this country, it is worth the expense in my view as it is a really good fun route!
