An almost lifelong Ambulance Driver with a considerable collection of Hats, Badges and pieces of paper from various big schools.

Tends to wander the globe providing and supporting evidenced based Pre-Hospital education interspersed with practising as a Volunteer Enhanced Care Paramedic for SCAS BASICS.

My ongoing mission is to teach the following generations to see the dogma for what it is and instead think for themselves…..

We know we have national guidelines but far from a national standard of practice due to service localisation, some of which is evidence based and some not and we commonly see it takes sometimes 5 years to introduce a new thing but 25 years to get rid of old dogma! In this talk I endeavour to cover the whole alphabet (With I suspect some artistic licence!) of things done in Pre-hospital care that have no tangible or evidence based clinical benefit to patient care yet somehow still persist in practice and sadly are often still taught to new clinicians thus protracting the agony!
