The Great Western line to the West is being Electrified many of the bridges are original Brunel built bridges substantial work is necessary to raise them to allow for the Electric Gantry. The inevitable months long closures causes chaos to traffic and suffering to many businesses. Fox Hall bridge however is only a minor traffic route with a more modern bridge just 100's of meters away. Foxhall railway junction is a junction of the Great Western & trains going North to Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, Hereford & Worcester
