BACK WITH A BROKEN BIKE - REBUILDING A DRZ400 ENGINE

Описание к видео BACK WITH A BROKEN BIKE - REBUILDING A DRZ400 ENGINE

The Suzuki DRZ 400 I've been enjoying broke. This video shows you how I fixed it. The cam chain tensioner broke, allowing the timing (synchronisation of the top and bottom ends of the engine) jump. This meant that pistons and valves smashed into one another.

I had to learn how to rebuild the top end of the engine. The most useful things that helped me do this were friends, a valve spring compressor, a Clymer manual and parts from eBay.

A very brief breakdown of how it went:
Remove engine from frame, remove top end of engine, rebuild top end of engine, replace top end of engine with new cam chain tensioner and gaskets, place engine back in bike, ride bike again.
