2 weeks - do not lift more than your baby, all restorative movements, focus on reconnecting your core, breath, and pelvic floor. ALWAYS roll on your side to get out of bed! You do not need to exercise at this point, let your body heal.

3-6 weeks - Start gradually increasing the time that you are walking, focus on engaging the core and good posture while doing so. You could start rubbing gently on the c- section scar to increase blood flow to that area and it helps it heal.

7-12 weeks - You can start doing more dynamic standing exercises, and try to focus on strengthening the glutes. When your glutes are strong this automatically takes stress off of the abdominal muscles, which is what we want so the diastasis recti does not expand.
