5 Easy Projects for Your Quilted Scraps - a Tulip Square quilting sewing tutorial

Here’s something to do with leftover quilted scraps, pieces you've used to practice quilting techniques, or even a scrappy panel you’ve quilted just to make some little items like this. You can even make some quilt-as-you-go pieces if you want to make something specific. You could also make a big quilted piece, cut it up and make a bunch of these items to sell!

In this video, Paulette shows how to make an eyeglass case, a pencil case, a makeup bag, a handy rollup, and a coin purse which also makes a great little gift card holder!

Here is what you need for each project:

EYEGLASS CASE:
6 1/2 x 7 1/2 inch quilted piece
20 inches of 2 1/4 inch binding

COIN PURSE/GIFT CARD HOLDER:
TWO: 4 1/2 x 5 inch quilted pieces
Nylon zipper 5 inches or longer

PENCIL CASE:
TWO: 4 x 8 inch quilted pieces
Nylon zipper 9 inches or longer

MAKEUP BAG:
TWO: 6 x 6 inch quilted pieces
Nylon zipper 6 inches or longer

ROLLUP:
14 x 10 inch quilted piece (or bigger if you like)
2 1/4 inch binding, 50 inches or longer
Grosgrain ribbon 3/8 - 1/2 inch, around 20 inches
