Following his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is looking into suspected anomalies in the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy, Manish Sisodia filed a bail motion before a special court in the city on Friday. As a result of Sisodia's failure to "legitimately explain the damning evidence which has allegedly appeared against him in the probe," Special Judge MK Nagpal sentenced him to five days in CBI custody on February 27. As his time in police detention expires, he is anticipated to appear before the special court at Rouse Avenue.
