Welcome to episode 169 of the Commander's Guild: "Boromir, Artifact's Hope" Every week I go to scryfall.com and randomly select a card, making a budget (under $100) commander deck around it and showcasing a gameplay video of the deck. This week I'm joined by Richard, Cole, and Doodle.

This week's random card is Throne of Empires and uses Boromir, Gondor's Hope as the commander. Obviously, if we're playing Throne of Empires then we're also running the Scepter and Crown but, since we're on a budget, we don't really have a ton of ways to tutor for them. That's where Boromir and a blink package come in, if we can consistently trigger Boromir's ability to take an artifact from the top 6 cards of our library then we should be able to very quickly and efficiently assemble our trio of cards.
