River's Arcade Review Episode 167 Stargate

Hello and welcome to episode 167 of River’s Arcade Review, my name is Ed. This channel is dedicated to the coin operated video games of yesteryear. Today I am a doing a viewer request. Today’s game was requested by the viewer Don McCullen and the game they requested was Stargate. Stargate was released in 1981 by Williams. My first time playing this game was at Chesdan’s King Pizza in Chicago IL.
Stargate is a space shooter themed game in which you control your ship with a two-way up and down joystick and six buttons, fire, thrust, reverse, hyperspace, smart bomb and inviso. You need to defend your planet against a continuous barrage of enemy invaders. This game is the sequel to the popular game Defender and also referred to as Defender II.
