Escann was once a land of knights and honor, but that all changed when the Greentide began. Hundreds of thousands of Orcs poured from the Serpentspine mountains and destroyed the once great chivalric kingdoms. The rest of Cannor was embroiled in the latest of the Lilac Wars, so little help was to come for nearly 20 years. In that time, villages burned, Half-Orcs were forced into existence, and refugees flooded into the west. Once the Lilac War was over, adventurers sharpened through war made their way east to confront the great green horde. Their leader Korgus Dookanson was a fierce warrior and said to be the avatar of the Orcish god, Dookan. Only someone of equal power would ever be able to stand up to such a powerful Orc. The gods heard our prayers and chose a champion. A young adventurer named Corin, was chosen by the disgraced god of war Agrados to be his avatar. She redeemed his honor and put an end to the Greentide by slaying Korgus. This however was not a clean victory. Korgus, ever the powerful warrior, in turn slayed Corin. Her acts of bravery and honor redeemed Agrados and she soon took his seat in the the Cannorian Pantheon, the Regent Court. While the Greentide ended with Korgus, the Orcs and their Goblin slaves remained on the surface. They fractured into clans and now squabble among themselves as well as the adventurer factions for control over Escann. Corin's own party stakes their claim just south of the great city of Cstonath. The Corintar shall rise to unite all of Escann, even the Orcs and Goblins, under a single banner. A country of honor and bravery. A country where individual virtue is valued above all.

This is set in the world of Anbennar, a dnd inspired fantasy mod for the grand strategy game Europa Universalis IV (4). In this world there are countries made up of Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, and many more races or combinations of races. Magic, artificery, and monsters abound! War wizards launch massive fireballs to break down castle walls! All this and so much more await in this fantastical world!
