Much needed improvement to the Georgia Traverse

Replacing a long stretch of trail that’s been closed for years

This is the same section we did in fall of last year (day 1), except when we hit the end of Charlie’s Creek we turn right instead of left

The original route, past Charlie’s creek, was mostly dirt till Helen. You would leave Charlie’s, head down Dicks Creek, the pickup Tray Mountain.

Dicks creek and the eastern side of Tray mountain have been closed off for years. Our trip last year was a long stretch of pavement to bypass the closures

This fixed that bypass.

You exit Charlie’s and take Highway 76 towards Hiwassee , turn left on Hwy 75. Take 75 to either Corbin Creek or Indian grave.
