'WOW, WOW, WOW!' - I can't believe we are almost a week from the Indian Market. It was an extraordinary week with so much happening in a short time. Seeing so many people at our opening on Friday afternoon was beautiful. We had well over 1,000 people through the gallery in just two hours! Of course, as you have probably heard, Jennifer Tafoya (Santa Clara) won Best of Pottery and Best of Show, so our show became part of her celebration. Each participating artist brought excellent work, and nearly everything sold out! So, that's "WOW#1 and WOW#2!

On Saturday, Indian Market opened to a sunny, perfect day! It was very well attended with lots of people here in Santa Fe. I think this reflects the growing interest in Native art around the country and world! We had four potters in for demonstrations Saturday afternoon. Each artist engaged visitors with the education of history and hands-on techniques in their essential art form. The demonstrations were well attended, and many visitors stayed two hours, enjoying speaking with each artist. Thank you to Susan Folwell, Kaa Folwell, Daniel Begay, and Les Namingha for making a great afternoon of learning....so That is WOW#3!

Sunday was also great weather and another opportunity to check out the Market, meet artists, and acquire some exceptional artwork. Susan Folwell returned for another afternoon of gallery demonstration, working on a more extensive water jar pictorial. Sunday is always fun, with everyone picking up art, checking in to say hello, reviewing, and making their best decisions on market acquisitions.

It was great to visit with many of you in person during the Market! Thank you VERY much for stopping by the gallery and continuing to support great Native art and extraordinary Native artists. We are excited about our Fall and Winter events and a fantastic 2024!
