Beat any Zone Defense Basketball with these 6 Tips

Many teams especially at the youth level play zone defense which can be really annoying. In this video I show 6 effective keys to beat any zone defense in a Basketball game. You can easily implement these strategies into any offense for players at any age and level. You don’t necessarily need consistent shooters in your team. These tips will definitely help your team score more points and destroy any zone defense. I go through the key strategies, break them down on the clipboard and show you several examples against a 2-3 zone, a 3-2 zone and a 1-3-1 zone.

You can’t beat a zone by just passing around the perimeter and wait for an open shot. Attacking the gaps, quick actions of off the catch and fast player and ball movement are only a few strategies in this video to beat a zone defense. It is also a good idea to have a player flashing into high post. This combined with a baseline runner can pose a real threat to the defense and lead to easy scoring at the rim.
