It`s our traditional meal - Kufte.

Kufta is one of the oldest and most delicious dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine. It is mostly prepared during the winter months, and it is also a favorite dish in our family. Kufta is easy to make and tasty, and here is a detailed process of how to prepare it. Enjoy the dish if you try it!

Ingredients:
2 onions
400g beef
50g round rice
Yellow chickpeas
Salt
Pepper
Dried mint
Sour plum paste (alça turşusu)

Preparation:
First, blend 2 onions and add them to the minced meat. Then, add round rice, salt, and pepper, and mix the meat well. Divide the prepared meat into 8 or 9 portions and shape them into round balls. Place one sour plum paste inside each meatball.

In a pan, add butter and 1 chopped onion. Then, add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and stir. Place the prepared meatballs in a pot. Add chickpeas, salt, and 400 ml of water. Cook on medium heat for 1 hour. Afterward, cut 3 potatoes into pieces and add them to the pot .After 25-30 minutes, when the potatoes are cooked, remove the pot from the heat.
