Описание к видео Friday Morning Forecast: Low Chance for Any Precipitation Sat. Night

Meteorologist Ashley Renee has your 7:45 am forecast. Good morning everyone and happy Friday! Thursday was an absolutely beautiful day! It was a nice, sunny day. Yesterday morning, Baton Rouge had a morning low of 39 degrees. The high temperature was 54 degrees. Skies stayed mostly clear last night and during the overnight hours. Temperatures are chilly and in the 30s this morning. High pressure started shifting east so that will help wind flow to change directions again. The NW winds will get replaced by SW winds. Winds from this direction will bring in warmer air. It’s cold this morning, but highs will be in the upper 60s this afternoon….at least 10-15 degrees warmer than yesterday afternoon. Skies will become partly to mostly cloudy between today and tonight. Overnight lows will be near 40. Isolated rain will be possible tonight and overnight as the next cold front moves through. Saturday morning’s lows will be in the low 40s. Highs will be in the mid 50s. An upper level disturbance could cause us to have a little more precipitation late Saturday night and early Sunday morning (before dawn). For most of the week, not a drop of precipitation was showing on models. Then on Wednesday, models (mainly the GFS) was showing snow over our area. Now the models have backed off again and pretty much placed any possible snow/wintry mix east of Baton Rouge and the New Orleans metro. It’s mainly over the rest of the Gulf Coast east of Louisiana. Temperatures will be cold enough for snow flurries to fall during this period, but it’s not a guarantee because there will not be enough moisture to mix in. I’ve mentioned that all yesterday morning and that still appears to be the case. You need enough moisture and temps to be near freezing from higher up in the atmosphere all the way down to Earth’s surface for snow to form and for it to stick. Ground temperatures will definitely not be warm enough. Some details still need to be worked out, but if our viewing area gets any flurries it will likely be between late Saturday night until about 3 or 4 am Sunday. Sunday morning’s lows will be near 30 and highs will be in the 50s. The rest of Sunday will be dry and sunny especially as high pressure builds in again. Stay bundled up this weekend if you’ll be out at the Mardi Gras parades or MLK parades/events. Monday and Tuesday mornings will be equally chilly with temperatures near 30. Highs will also only reach the 50s on those days. Wednesday morning’s lows will be in the 30s and highs will be in the low 60s. Thursday morning’s lows will be near 50. Highs will be near mid 60s. There’s a slight chance of showers on Wednesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for updates. Thanks for watching. Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!
