Learners across the country joined Transnet National Ports Authority virtually for a webinar focusing on Maritime Education & Career Paths. It was part of TNPA’s celebration of 20 years of Maritime Transformation happening throughout September 2020.

Leading maritime professionals outlined their education and career experiences, since being beneficiaries of TNPA’s development programmes. Speakers included Khomotjo Mphahlele, Senior Marine Facilitator at the Transnet Maritime School of Excellence, Theresa Williams, who became South Africa’s first female marine pilot and is now Head of Department in the Maritime Studies and Survival Centre at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, East London Harbour Master, Captain Kgadi Matlala, and Port Elizabeth Harbour Master, Captain Brynn Adamson.
