Fitting mudguards on a TCR seems to be a popular question.
This is a look at the SKS Race Blade mudguards on my 2015 TCR Advanced 1.

Despite it being viewed as sacrilege, fitting them obviously helps for the single bike (N=1) all year round scenario or when out on long wet training rides.

After a wet and muddy 90 miler the week before, I fitted these (badly) in a rush before a 7.30am start. Overall it worked really well and saved an overly wet and cold backside.
