In 1973 The Three Degrees signed with Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff and became the first female act for Philadelphia International Records. Their first album for the label was simply called: 'The Three Degrees' (released on CD by Big Break Records). The first single release from the album was 'Dirty ol' man'. This song brought the ladies to the attention of the European record buyers. The Netherlands and Belgium gave them their 1st number one hit and golden record ever.
