Description: In the future everything will be powered by electricity. To make this electric future dream come true, we need safer and cheaper energy storage devices (such as batteries) Current Lithium (Li) ion batteries suffer from several problems such as limited Li resources resulting in their high cost, flammability issues, and as the result safety concerns. This has motivated researchers to look for new and alternative battery systems. Aluminum batteries have recently attracted huge attention due to their unique properties. In this video we show our recent results on MXene based cathode materials for aluminum batteries. Reference - DOI: 10.1021/acsnano.7b05350
