How painful is it to get the back tattooed? Well, I hate to scare you… but it’s pretty painful! And I can say this because I’ve experienced all that pain for myself. I’ve had 7 sessions with over 62 hours of needle puncturing pain to completely cover my back in tattoo ink. And throughout all those sessions, I’ve thrown up multiple times along with going into a serious shock. But there was something I decided to do during all these painful back tattoo appointments, and that is I recorded every area that was touched & tattooed by the needle so I could create my own tattoo pain rating charts for the back!
